The Dark Monocle & Reconstructing The Monster

Hello Monster Hunters,

Today is the original date that Steampunk Monster Hunter – The Dark Monocle was set to close. However, due to a number of writers who requested an extension and to what has turned into a very busy fall release schedule, I am extending the deadline to 12/31/13.

If you have not received a decline, your story is being considered for the anthology. I deeply appreciate everyone’s patience during this submission period and I will have final decisions made as soon after the deadline as is possible!

I have also opened submissions for the new anthology, Reconstructing The Monster. It is an homage to classic horror films and I am extremely excited to be working with Brian P. Easton on this project! It’s not easy to get the Godfather of Monster Hunters to co-edit an anthology, but our mutual infatuation with classic horror films made it a project that we had to do.

All of the details are available on the home page, including Emby’s new policy of announcing accepted stories only after the submission period is closed.

This is a special project, and as such will offer a contributor copy in addition to the $25 payment.

Editing for Blood Trails is coming along nicely, and as soon as I am done with that volume, I will begin Doomsday.

November will see the release of Emby’s first two novels, so keep an eye out for those dates in future posts!

Until then, keep sending those stories in and remember to pack extra ammo, it being the season and all.
